A while ago Mahindra had showcased electric variant of the Verito that managed to capture a lot of attention among car buyers in the country. The Maxximo EV was also used for a pilot project at country’s historical monument Taj Mahal where it was used to ferry tourists. This time around sources have indicated that the new models could be launched at the 2016 Auto Expo event.
Both the vehicles would be powered by lithium-ion battery packs that also serves the e2o electric small car. More technical details about the Verito is not known at this given point in time and shall be known later. It is believed that Verito EV could be used by commercial vehicle operators in the country. The Maxximo EV on the other hand gets a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) the effectively generates about 19bhp of power and 62Nm of torque.
