Mahindra & Mahindra dealerships selling Logan sedan in the country will soon see the removal of ‘Renault’ brand name inscribed on the outside. It is to be mentioned here that there are about 150 such dealerships of M&M in the Indian market. Moreover, Mahindra will also remove Renault tag and its diamond-shaped logo from the car along with changing the car’s name. The company will now launch a new re-styled version of the Logan model along with a new lower-price version of the car.

Mahindra and Renault had parted their ways last year, dissolving their joint venture company – Mahindra Renault Pvt. Ltd (MRPL). The separation came in the view of sluggish sales figure of Logan model in the Indian market, after which both partners blamed each other for lack of sales of Logan along with developing a new lower-price version of the car.

Speaking to the reporters on Wednesday, Mr. Pawan Goenka, Mahindra's automotive sector president, said in a statement given to TOI, "The transition will happen very soon.” He added, "There were around 150 dealerships that were having this joint branding (Mahindra and Renault). The Renault brand will now come down." According to him the Renault tag will be removed from Mahindra dealerships that were selling the Logan and had 'Renault' brand name inscribed on the outside.

Further elaborating company’s all-new up-gradation effort for the Logan, Mr. Goenka said, "We are not entitled to continue with the Logan brand, as well as the name and diamond brand sign of Renault. Thus, we will be having a new branding for the car, and this will also happen very soon.”
