Mahindra Reva has come up with a new premium variant of Reva electric car in India priced at Rs 5.72 lakh (on-road Delhi). Mahindra Reva has also rolled out a lucrative ownership scheme christened, ‘Goodbye Fuel, Hello Electric’, for the e20. This scheme segregates the initial acquisition cost of the electric vehicle e20 and the usage cost spent in the form of vehicle’s maintenance and battery. Since the ownership of the battery stays with Mahindra Reva, therefore this scheme also guarantees the performance of the battery and customers pay only for the distance they drive. The customers are required to pay a monthly energy fees of Rs 2,999 that permits customers to drive the vehicle for 50,000 kms for a time period of five years.
As for the new premium variant of e20, it offers an extended range of 120kms and comes fitted with electric power steering.
Features equipped on the new e20 variant include infotainment system, driver information system, reverse parking camera and assist. Touted as the urban city car, e20 is automatic and has the smallest turning radius. Besides this the electric vehicle comes with preeminent features like hill-hold. Addition of new premium variant in e20 range is expected to make things better for the electric vehicle in domestic market.
