Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt, Ltd. has doled out yet another lucrative ownership scheme for its electric vehicle e2o. Under the scheme called ‘Goodbye Fuel, Hello Electric’, customers will have to pay only Rs 4.99 lakh for the automatic electric vehicle. This saves on the money paid for battery initially, as buyers can pay a monthly amount of Rs 2,599 called ‘monthly energy fee’, allowing customers to drive the car for 800 kms in a month and around 50,000 kms in five years. Under this scheme the customer will pay only for the distance covered, segregating initial acquisition cost and usage cost of the vehicle. Performance of the battery is ensured during this time period as the ownership of the battery stays with the company.
Commenting on the launch of the new scheme, Chetan Maini, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. stated that the response received for the automatic, connected and futuristic e2o has been good. With the launch of the new lucrative scheme ‘Goodbye Fuel, Hello Electric’ the company has made the vehicle more viable for the customers. He further stated that this is an innovative scheme that guarantees battery performance and inflation proof running costs.
The unique ownership experience would also change the way electric vehicles are perceived in India. The programme also offers 24 X 7 assistance for e2o as the company guarantees performance of the vehicle during battery repair period.
