Mahindra & Mahindra, the leading utility vehicle maker in the Indian auto market, is all set to develop line-up of its next generation SUVs in the Indian auto market. Excited with the response received by its latest sports utility vehicle XUV 500, the company will be introducing a series of next generation SUV after developing them at a joint platform with its South Korean subsidiary Ssangyong Motors.
In a statement given to TOI which answering a query related to M&M’s future plans in India, Mr. Anand Mahindra, vice-chairman at Mahindra & Mahindra. Said, "M&M is a marathon runner. We have been counted out so often, we have been questioned so often about whether we are biting off more than we can chew, whether we have got too much on our plate. These questions I have been encountering for the last two decades." He added that along with conviction and plan, the company also has good execution skills.
The company has showcased a range of Ssangyong global portfolio products at the Delhi International auto expo including Ssangyong Rexton, Korando, etc. Many of these Ssangyong SUVs will be rolled-out in the Indian auto market by this year end, as a part of company’s portfolio expansion plans.
