Mahindra Logan has reported encouraging figures for the company for the first time in past two years. This is the first time in past few months that the sales have strong growth; in fact, Logan sales have doubled to 752 units in July 2010 as compared to 303 units sold in April this year. Similarly, the company has announced a sales growth of 24.3 percent for the month of July 2010 over the corresponding period last year.

Mahindra recently ended its joint venture with French automaker Renault in India. Customers as well as dealers were not sure of the continuity of the model, neither were they clear about its positioning in the market. However, various initatives by the Group have shown that the Logan is here to stay.

Mahindra has coined a new slogan for the car and re-launched it with vigour in the Indian market. “Logan Loves India” is the new slogan from the company for the model which is also coming with a new marketing campaign in all digital media. According to the company officials, price cuts and new business strategy have pushed the sales to better figures in the past month. The new business strategy involved re-training of the sales staff, fresh talks with the dealers and visiting corporates. Mahindra is also planning to increase localisation of the components in the car to reduce costs further.
