The stylish and rugged XUV500 from Mahindra and Mahindra has been a hotseller in its segment. As per a fresh update, the Indian automaker has introduced a new 6-inch monochrome infotainment system in its W4 variant as a replacement to the single LCD setup. The new monochrome infotainment system supports Bluetooth audio, USB, iPod connectivity with CD and hands-free connectivity.
Under the hood, there is no change and the XUV500 W4 comes with 2179 cc mHawk 140 Diesel Engine loaded with 5th Generation Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) that generates 140bhp of power at 3750rpm and 330Nm of torque at 1600-2800 rpm. The SUV comes mated to – speed synchromesh manual transmission.
While the W4 and W6 have been offered with 6-inch infotainment system, the higher W8 and W10 have been offered with 7-inch colour touchscreen infotainment display complete with audio/Video USB, GPS, hands-free calling, Bluetooth audio, picture viewer, iPod connectivity and configurable wallpapers. The pricing aspect has also remained unchanged and the vehicle continues to be offered around a starting price tag of about Rs 12 lakh.
