Customers planning to buy a commercial vehicle this new year may look forward to the upcoming Mahindra Imperio that is due for launch on 6th January, 2016. The vehicle comes as a replacement to the Genio pickup. The Imperio from Mahindra would be offered in two variants with different payload capacities.
Under the hood, the Mahindra Imperio gets 2.5 liter mDI CRDe in-line four cylinder diesel engine mated to five-speed manual gearbox that generates about 74bhp of power and 220Nm of peak torque. In terms of design, the light commercial vehicle gets sharper headlamp cluster, bolder toothed grill, bumper housing and circular fog lamps.
Mahindra has been a leading player in the commercial vehicle segment in India. With the new model set in-line for launch the company expects to further strengthen its position in the market. The pricing and more details shall be revealed at the time of its official launch. Interested customers can go ahead with the bookings via authorized Mahindra dealerships in the country.
