      Mahindra Group marks presence at 2012 Indian Manufacturing Show; exhibits its acclaimed product line-up

      Mahindra and Mahindra, the country's largest Utility Vehicle (UV) maker, has participated in the second edition of 2012 Indian manufacturing Show, which happens to be a well known platform for exhibiting innovation and advanced technologies. At the event, the Group displayed several vehicles and products from all of its sectors, including aerospace, farm equipment, construction equipment, Reva and engineering. The company has been provided with a display area of 7000 square feet at the mega event, which is expected to cater a magnitude of audience.

      The auto company has also put on display several solutions to manufacture the complex sheet metal dies, which are extensively used for critical automotive parts. These products are supplied to the Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs) and are also exported to other parts of the world. At the mega event, the company also exhibited its professionalism in the production process of welding fixtures.

      In Mahindra Reva segment, the auto group showcased the ‘Future of Mobility’ and ‘5Cs’ with a prominence over prime innovations like ‘Sun2Car’, 'Power2House' and ‘Quick2Charge’. ‘Sun2Car’ provides the customers with an exclusive charging unit that provides a certain level of clean and free energy to the car for lifetime, making it an economical solution. On the other hand, 'Quick2Charge’ feature is a special system, which quickly charges the car in 15 minutes that enables it to run for around 25 km. With its 'Power2House' feature, the car maker has developed a new innovation through which individuals can power their house for a day long with two fans, two tube lights and a television.

      Besides, the two-wheeler section of Mahindra Group is exhibiting its portfolio, which comprises Duro DZ Micro Hybrid, Mojo motorcycle and the newly introduced Rodeo RZ. Interestingly, Duro DZ Micro Hybrid happens to be the company's first Micro Hybrid two-wheeler in the Indian auto industry. With the new launch of Rodeo RZ, the company is targeting the young buyers who want a scooter for daily commuting. Following the research at its recently introduced research and development unit in Pune, M&M has also framed a Micro Hybrid start/stop technology for its Duro DZ scooter, which significantly improves the model's fuel economy and also reduces its emission levels.

      The Farm Equipment Sector (FES) of M&M has emerged as a market leader in the country's tractor industry for the last 29 years. Under this, the company has been showcasing its complete range of Tractors and Farm Mechanization Solutions. The portfolio includes cutting edge Arjun Ultra 1 605 DI Multi Application Tractor (MAT), which has been equipped with GPS navigator and the tractor 6250. M&M has also put on display its range of Compact Tractors with cut sections, which features advancements like power shuttle and hydrostatic gearbox for improved ergonomics.

      FES has also exhibited its Swaraj line-up of tractors, including Swaraj 843 XM, which is assimilated with a 42 bhp engine for improved load carrying capacity. The company also displaced AppliTrac farm mechanisation solutions, which comprised Fertilizer Spreader, Mulcher and Rice Transplanters of both riding type and walk behind type. Several power solutions were also showcased by the FES, including Mahindra Powerol HUPs Inverter and Mahindra Powerol 8kW variable speed DC Generator, which are mainly used by telecom operations with solar panels.

      Under its Mahindra Construction Equipment Division, the Group displayed its pioneer offering named as ‘EarthMaster’. This innovative model is featured with advanced technology, complemented with efficient fuel mileage, appealing style and ease of operations. The company believes that this new model will be set benchmark for heavy duty operations, including loading, excavation, grading, dozing and cutting. The model has been assimilated with an advanced DITEC drivetrain, which delivers 10 per cent improved fuel mileage over other models offered by rival auto makers.

      Along with these, Mahindra Aerospace is exhibiting scale models which represented the company's line-up including GA8, NM5, GA10 and GA18. GA8 is exclusively designed to remain parallel with the latest demands of safety standards (FAR 23 certification) and international airworthiness. This model has potential to function on short air strips in during unwanted situations, which makes it ideal for operations at country's remote areas.

      Mahindra
