Mahindra Two Wheelers is all set to introduce its entry level commuter bike Centuro 110 in India during the first week of July 2013. The Centuro 110 was unveiled earlier this year at the launch ceremony of Mahindra Pantero 110 motorcycle. The latest entrant in the commuter bike segment is targeted for those who seek an affordable, fuel efficient and reliable bike.
Mahindra Centuro 110 is powered by a 106 cc, single cylinder air-cooled MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited) engine that produces a top power output of 8.5 bhp at 8500 rpm and a maximum turning force of 8.5 Nm at 5500 rpm. The company has claimed that the Centuro 110 commuter bike has been designed while keeping in mind all the needs and requirements of Indian audience.
Mahindra Centuro 110 will come equipped with central locking or the so called 'Anti-Theft system' that works with the help of an engine immobiliser using a 128-bit encrypted key and being highly advanced for its class. The stylish digital dashboard has several intelligent functions, like service-due reminder and distance-to-empty calculator. Mahindra goes a step further has provided a torch-key in the Centuro 110, which enables one to locate the bike's ignition lock in dark, a highly commendable feature.
Mahindra Two Wheelers is looking at strengthening its commuter bike portfolio with the soon-to-be launched Centuro 110. This bike could come with an introductory launch price between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 50,000, which will make it slightly more expensive than the Pantero. The Mahindra Centuro will compete against Honda Dream Yuga, Hero Splendor and Suzuki Hayate, amongst other in the entry level bike segment.
