The Lotus Esprit was immortalised in its white livery when Roger Moore drove the exclusive British sportscar in the 70s. It has been four decades since the Esprit made its silver screen debut and Lotus is celebrating it with a one-off Evora. Lotus makes 120 Evoras in a year and this one is a part of its special operations project.

The one-off Evora is painted in the same pristine white paint that the Esprit S1 had carried along with the signature black coach-line wrapped around the car. Lotus has detailed the paint with the exact shade and the exact patterns have been recreated with the new Evora. On the inside, the seats have been upholstered in the period tartan highlights along with the premium Alcantara leather. It gets wooden inserts and the Evora badge has been cast in the same classic style as the Esprit.

Under the hood, you have the 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine developing close to 410bhp of power. You can opt for a manual or an automatic box that drives the rear wheels and is capable of propelling the car past 100kmph in less than four seconds. The Lotus comes into its own and is even faster through corners owing to its strict diet of carbon-fibre and aluminium keeping the weighing scale in check and then comes the F1 inspired handling setup.
