Along with chic exteriors, i10 offers extensive room to conveniently seat five passengers. This Hyundai model claims a fuel efficiency of 20.36 kmpl with its famous Kappa engine. The car is competitively priced between a price bracket of Rs. 3.75 lakh and Rs. 6.25 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it a hit in the respective segment.

      Below the star performer i10, there comes the Ford’s flagship car, Figo. Already pulling in decent sales, the model got an overhaul on 15th October 2012. Through a channel of continuous improvements, Figo now looks more refreshing and appealing with the newly crafted headlamps along with new housing for the fog lights. Among the more competitive cars in its segment, Ford Figo delivers on both power and mileage, with a decent 13-16kmpl. The price tag of this model ranges between Rs. 3.88 lakh and Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

      Maruti Swift since its launch has proved to be a sensational car and has been reporting excellent sales, owing to its sporty looks and comfortable interiors. The badge of Maruti Suzuki also proves to be one more reason for making Swift a success in the market. The journey of Swift became more exhilarating after its makeover, which took place last year. Loaded with a number of comfort features, Swift has been offered in both petrol and diesel engines. In the price slot of Rs. 4.48 lakh-Rs. 6.87 lakh (ex-showroom), industry experts are of a view that Swift is also a good model to go for.

      The newcomer Sail U-VA from Chevrolet is next in-line, which attracts onlookers with its facial sobriety. Hawk wing like large headlamps and dual parted front grille house company’s badge in the centre, which triggers Indian car enthusiasts to take the newbie seriously. Through a number of publicity channels, the model is experiencing gradual rise in sales. Available in both petrol and diesel engines, the auto maker claims a mileage of 18.2 kmpl (petrol) and 22.1 kmpl (diesel). In order to pull in some decent volumes, the model has been placed in a bracket of Rs. 4.19 lakh and Rs. 6.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

      Volkswagen's only hatchback for quite a while is Polo, which is doing decently, owing to its executive feel with a touch of sportiness. Spacious awe-inspiring cabin with everything kept and planned to perfection, it provides a mileage of around 14 kmpl. It must be noted that since its launch in the Indian auto market, the model has been a hit among the Indian car buyers. Polo comes at a price range of Rs. 4.61 lakh to Rs. 7.12 lakh (ex-showroom), which comes up as it’s another USP.
