Lamborghini, the super sports car maker, is preparing for the launch of a special edition model of Gallardo, which will be India specific. Reportedly, the model will be brought to limelight on June 19, 2013 amid great buzz. It must be noted that no information about the model has been revealed yet and a number of speculations are taking rounds of the upcoming Gallardo.
On the new launch, industry experts are of a view that the India bound Gallardo Special Edition will be based on the LP 550-2 model. Therefore, the model is anticipated to feature a 5.2 litre engine, which will churn out a maximum power of 542 bhp, along with a highest torque of 540 Nm. With this engine configuration, the model will be capable of reaching 100 kmph from initial in just 3.9 seconds, thereafter clocking a top speed of over 310 kmph.
Apart from this, none of the features have been revealed regarding the upcoming model. Auto analysts believe that the incorporation of a new model in Lamborghini India’s line up will surely give an adrenaline rush to the auto aficionados by enticing them with its brilliant design and overwhelming performance. The launch of an India specific model could also be a move to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the auto maker in the Indian auto market.
It must be noted that the Lamborghini Gallardo happens to be the most successful raging bull designed ever. Also, the launch of a Gallardo’s successor is also in the pipeline, which is scheduled for the mid 2014. It is expected that this model will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which is scheduled for September 2013.
