      Lamborghini launches the Huracan Evo

The new Huracan Evo takes over where the Huracan Performante left off and has inherited much of the hardware from the ‘Ring record holder. The powertrain remains unchanged, so the Evo is powered by the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine with titanium intake valves and lightweight exhaust system. Like the Performance, the Huracan Evo too puts out 640bhp of raw power all the way up the rev-range and 600Nm of twisting force. With a dry weight of just 1,422 kgs, the Evo is capable of clocking 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds and it has a top speed of more than 325kmph.

The Huracan Evo gets a newly styled front splitter with an integrated wing. The air-intake has a Ypsilon design which makes the Huracan much better looking and aggressive at the same time. The twin exhaust tips sticking out at the back is same as on the Performante, only larger. And now the race-car-like massive diffusers at the back get a rather petite duck-lip spoiler. A redesigned engine cover along with newly-designed 20-inch Aesir Y-spoke alloy wheels add a fresh appeal to the Evo. The most important update on the Huracan Evo is the 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system which sits above the famous start button. It is the same unit which was seen on the iconic Centenario. The system also comes with smartphone integration, voice command and navigation but dual camera telemetry and hard disk come as an optional extra. Meanwhile, the cabin gets dedicated Evo trim in Alcantara and leather with Arancio Dryope detailing.

The Huracan Evo continues to GO up against the likes of Porsche 911, Ferrari 488, Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, and Maserati GranTurismo.
