Lamborghini plans to introduce an entry level compact sportscar after the Lamborghini Urus is successful in the international market.

Lamborghini could build an all-new entry level sportscar

The interesting bit about the new entry level sportscar is that it will be based on a versatile modular platform that can be used throughout the line-up. It is this feature that makes building a new car from the ground up, a whole lot cheaper. In contrast, the Aventador and the Huracan use different platforms altogether.

This entry level Lamborghini sportscar will be slotted below the 573bhp, 5.7-litre V10 Huracan which currently reigns as their ‘entry level’ model. "We need to make sure the third model (Urus) will be stable enough for us to think about a fourth model," said Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali.

Domenicali stated that Lamborghini has a lot resting on the shoulders of Urus SUV which is slated to debut in the year 2018. This SUV is also expected to make to the market with plug-in hybrid variants.

Sources suggest that Lamborghini’s new compact entry level sportscar could be unveiled in 2021. Stay tuned for more information.
