      John Abraham sustains minor injuries after crashing 1000 cc bike

      Bollywood star John Abraham posted pictures of himself on his Twitter account, wherein in one of them was seen with minor bruises that were sustained due to an accident. Confirming the same, the actor Tweeted about his crash, saying, "11.30 pm last night crashed on a 1000cc motorcycle... 7.30 am this morning back to workouts ... NO….” The latter half of the Tweet described how the actor was fine and resumed normal regime by next morning. No details have emerged that mention the name of the motorcycle Abraham was riding apart from the actor stating that it was a 1000 cc bike. According to reports, the actor crashed his motorcycle on 19th of August.

      He shot to fame with the famous 2004 film titled Dhoom, which also starred Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Esha Deol. An action thriller based on a robbery, Dhoom featured a number of gravity defying stunts on sports bikes, which included the likes of Suzuki Hayabusa. John Abraham has been in the news in the recent past, with his film Madras Cafe hitting theatres on 23rd of August. Starring Nargis Fakhri, Madras Cafe has been directed by Shoojit Sircar, who was the director of the much acclaimed Vicky Donor, produced by Abraham himself. Madras Cafe, a spy-thriller based on the Sri Lankan Civil War, has received a lot of critical acclaim with John Abraham getting appreciation for his performance in the film. Other than Madras Cafe and Shootout at Wadala, John Abraham was seen in I, Me, aur Main and Race 2. The actor has had a busy year in 2013 due to the release of several films and other events.

      John Abraham has always been a self confessed automobile lover, something that can be seen by the number of cars and bikes he owns. In many interviews, the actor has spoken about how he loves to take bike rides on Mumbai roads on wee hours. In a recent interaction, he was quoted as saying, “When I was in school my father booked a Gypsy, and his booking number was one. We were supposed to get the first Gypsy but for some strange reason he cancelled the booking. And you know how it is in schooldays when you have a crush on a girl, and you never go out with her.” John Abraham currently owns a Lamborghini, Audi Q7 and a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, among others.

      Industry experts have said that this is not the first time a celebrity has been in a vehicle crash. A lot of Bollywood actors have, in the past, been involved in incidents related to cars. Superstar Salman Khan, notably, has been part of case, in which he has been framed for running over a person on a Mumbai footpath. Not only in India, celebrities across the globe have banged their cars into a subway or somewhere else. Some of these celebrities include Mel Gibson, Michael Phelps, Charlie Sheen and Cristiano Ronaldo.
