JLR India has introduced a new smartphone integration platform with its existing infotainment system. This new platform has been developed by Bosch and tailored-made for Indian consumers. The InControl App transfers the interface of the phone on to the touchscreen system of the vehicle; similar to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Bosch has been using this platform for various automakers across the globe and in India JLR is the only one currently offering it. InControl App comes offers access to popular apps like NDTV, Hungama, MapmyIndia and Zomato which should help car users to play music, find a restaurant, catch up on news and of course navigate. There are five international apps to choose from as well that help sync your calendar details, make conference calls, and should help JLR users find a hotel in a city. Bosch is also considering voice command system as an additional feature.
