      JLR continues to thrive in February with 14% growth in monthly sales

      Jaguar Land Rover, the British brand owned by Tata Motors has posted strong sales in the month of February. The cumulative sales of the auto cos stood at 30,487 for the month of February, 2014 registering a rise of 14 per cent as against the same time period last year. The collective sales of the first two months of current year stood at 69,593 units with a rise of 13%.

      JLR has shown maximum growth in China with a rise in sales by 44%. Company registered decent growth in North America too with 12% increase in sales.On the other hand, company showed 16% growth in the Asia Pacific region and just 1% growth in the European market.

      Commenting on the growth rate achieved in key markets, Sales Operations Director, Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group stated that JLR continued to carry forward its growth trend in the month of February too on the back of diverse models in its line-up across international markets.The collective sales number for the month of January and February is phenomenal, in February itself, Jaguar sold 5300 vehicles registering a hike of 15%. On the other hand Land Rover sold 25,187 units in February posting a hike of 13%.

      Company officials have confirmed that new models will be launched this year. With the string of new cars coming in 2014 from the JLR clan, the company is believed to perform even better on the sales front. One of the cars that will be launching this year is the Jaguar XE which will gun straight against rivals like BMW 3 Series, C-Class and Audi A4. Land Rover on the other hand will launch replacement of Freelander re-dubbed as Discovery Sport.
