Jeep has just made it official that the brand has sold over 10,000 units of the Compass in India. The highly popular compact SUV has crossed the sales milestone in four months of its launch in the country.
Jeep, as we know, makes the Compass locally and exports it to several other markets. The brand, in fact, has shipped the first batch of 600 units to Japan and Australia a couple of months ago.
Coming back to the Indian market, the Compass is sold here in three trim levels, two engine options, and two gearbox options with either a front or all-wheel drive. The car is quite aggressively priced too, although Jeep has announced that it will increase the prices by 2 to 4 per cent starting January 2018. That said, the entry-level petrol variant will continue to be sold at the current ex-showroom price of Rs 15.16 lakhs.
