      Jaguar XE Auto Expo launch on February 3, bookings now open

      Jaguar plans on entering a luxury saloon segment which Mercedes, BMW and Audi have been battling out since the last 10 years in India. Jaguar plans on doing so with their all-new XE on February 3 at the 2016 Auto Expo, they have also gone ahead and started accepting bookings.

      Powering the XE, will be two derivatives of their 2.0-litre petrol engine. One with 197bhp, while the other will be tuned to produce 237bhp. While, a diesel model may be on the cards. The all-new Jaguar XE will be the first to feature an aluminium-intensive monocoque product in the segment. It will also host features such as torque vectoring by braking and all surface progress control (ASPC).

      The cabin of the XE well equipped, with cruise control, navigation and the rising jaguar rotary controller, softgrain Windsor leather seats, panoramic sliding sunroof, interior mood lighting, 380-watts Meridian sound system and surround camera system to ensure you don’t ding your new Jaguar.

      The Indian-assembled XE will sit below the XF sedan in the Jaguar portfolio and take on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4 in India. The dealerships are taking a token of around Rs 1 lakh to book the sedan.
