Tata Motors brought two most prestigious and premium car brands to India last year - Jaguar and Land Rover. Now the company is planning to achieve 250 units sales figure in the current financial year. "We hope to end up selling close to 250 vehicles, both Jaguar and Land Rover. In the 9 months since we opened our first store in Mumbai, we have seen an encouraging response from customers," said Rajiv Dube, president, passenger car business unit, Tata Motors.
Tata Motors has inaugurated showrooms only in Mumbai and Delhi for Jaguar and Land Rover. However, it intends to expand into other major cities of India as well. "We are pursuing plans to expand our reach to other cities in the country as well," said Dube.
Jaguar's product portfolio includes models like XJ, XF, XK while Land Rover models are Land Rover Freelander 2, Discovery 4, and Range Rover Sport. Tata Motors also intends to bring newer Jaguar car models to India this year.
