Jaguar Land Rover, the famous British automobile manufacturer is organising a celebration that will be known as the Coronation Festival. This extravaganza will showcase a large number of models, which will symbolise the masterful craftsmanship of British engendering that spans the past six decades. The centre stage, in the gardens of the Buckingham Palace, will be taken by the Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Supercar Prototype. This vehicle, along with other, will showcase the technologies and developments made by Jaguar Land Rover, certifying its status of being pioneers in the field.
Notably, the British car manufacturer is the only auto maker that holds Royal Warrants given by all the three Grantors. Beginning on the 11th of July, the Coronation Festival will be held in the gardens on the Buckingham Palace and will end on the 14th of July. It is slated to be a great event that will celebrate and commemorate the excellence, commitment, innovation and the technological supremacy that Jaguar Land Rover stands for. Interestingly, it is going to be the first instance when over 200 companies, holding Royal Warrants of Appointment, come together to display their services, craftsmanship and technical expertise. Also, the Coronation Festival Gala is going to shown on BBC One as a TV special and also be broadcast on BBC Radio 2.
Talking about the C-X75, an apt representation of the company's expertise in car making, is a hybrid supercar that has a state-of-the-art design and efficiencies similar to that of a city-car. The manufacturing of the C-X75 prototypes have lead to some breakthrough achievements, which will be of help in the future to development next-generation models, along with being utilised in research and development. These include advanced hybrid technologies, carbon composite materials and design solutions, which are a result of the company's association with Williams Advanced Engineering.
Jaguar Land Rover, over the years, has committed itself to the development of the automobile industry by achieving pinnacles of excellence in terms of technology and sophistication. To put things into perspective, Jaguar Land Rover, currently, has a pool of around 7000 designers and engineers, who constantly strive to better the previous accomplishments of the firm, thereby ensuring continuous progress. The Jaguar and Land Rover ranges got two new additions, the F-Type and the all-new Range Rover, respectively. These cars, also representing the class of the company, will be on display at the Coronation Festival. Jaguar's much acclaimed lightweight aluminium structure can be seen in the F-Type. On the other hand, the accomplishments achieved in the making of the Range Rover include the all-aluminium monocoque body structure, along with savings of up to 420 kg on the total weight.
A collection of heritage vehicles will also be on display at the festival, showcasing Jaguar Land Rover's lineage over the years, since its establishment. This group of vehicle will mainly represent the company's service to the Royal Family, which spreads over a period of 60 years. One of these is the State IV, the 1953 Land Rover Royal ceremonial car that was a part of the fleet that assisted The Duke of Edinburgh and Her Majesty The Queen, when they went on a Commonwealth Tour. Along with the State IV, the 1955 Jaguar Mark VIIM, used for private motoring from 1955 to 1973 by Her Majesty The Queen, will also be on display.
A host of cars were transported back on the route took by The Queen's Coronation in 1953. These vehicles participated in a festive cavalcade from Horse Guards Parade to Admiralty Arch and Westminster Abbey. 1949 Land Rover series I Troop review, 961 Jaguar E-TYPE Series I, two Royal review Range Rovers from 1974 and 2002, 2002 Daimler X308 Super V8 Saloon and a 1966 Land Rover series II Military Escort were among the ones that took part in this cavalcade through some streets of London that hold an iconic status.
