      Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 revealed ahead of Goodwood debut

      British luxury car manufacturer, Jaguar has revealed the F-type Project 7 ahead of its debut at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed on 26 June. It is the first Jaguar performance vehicle from JLR’s Special Operations team, and only 250 units of the supercar will be produced.

      First unveiled in 2013, the concept pays tribute to the iconic three time Le Mans winning D-type which is celebrating its 60th anniversary year. The 2014 Jaguar F-type Project 7 is the fastest and most powerful production Jaguar ever built.

      Under the hood, the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 gets 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that is capable of developing 575PS and 680Nm of peak torque. This supercar accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in mere 3.9 seconds and catches an electronically limited top speed of 300kmph. It is fully road-legal, with a removable roof and 196-litre stowage space.

      Power is transmitted to rear wheels via Jaguar’s eight-speed Quickshift transmission and second generation Electronic Active Differential. This Jaguar is fitted to carbon ceramic matrix brakes and torque vectoring by braking to offer powerful braking and precise handling. The Project 7 features the D-type inspired fairing behind the driver’s head, new front bumper, carbon fibre front splitter, rear diffuser and adjustable rear spoiler.
