The bookings for the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross have commenced in India and the deliveries will begin in July. The car is priced at an introductory price of Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai).

The D-Max V-Cross is a premium car with the same body style as the D-Max pick-up, but looks better and gets more features. It is mainly targeted at people looking for adventure and utility, while wanting to have passenger car-like features and comforts. So in addition to the adventurous looks, the cabin gets features like a seven-inch touchscreen entertainment system, multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control and a Multi Information Display.

Power comes from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder VGS Turbo Intercooled diesel engine that churns out 134bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. This mill is BS-IV compliant and comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It is available as a 4X4 variant, which also gets the company’s new iGRIP (Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform) and a dial type shift-on-the-fly 4WD knob. ABS, EBD and front dual airbags are also on offer.

Isuzu had announced earlier that they intended to launch a product at the Rs 15 lakh mark, which will be available for private registration. They showcased the D-Max V-Cross at the 2016 Auto Expo hinting they might launch the product for the Indian market. Finally, this vehicle has now gone on sale at introductory prices and will soon be offered through various dealerships across the country.
