Over the years, the Pune-based vehicle manufacturer Force Motors has proven itself with a reliable and rugged product line up in India. This time around, the vehicle manufacturer has bagged order from the Indian Army for the supply of Light Strike Vehicles (LSV). Force Motors has reportedly been working on the LCV development for over two years now and testing it in extreme weather conditions with temperatures ranging between -30 to 50 degrees.

Speed and reliability being the primary focus, the LCV is offered with all-wheel drive and differential locks for all wheels. Engine and transmission options will be carried forward from the existing lineup. For obvious reasons, the vehicle has been designed for easy ingress and egress. Moreover, the vehicle can be quickly airlifted and deployed as a advanced fast strike vehicle. It sits on run flat tyres and has provisions to mount machine guns and rocket launchers.

Speaking on the occasion, Force Motors spokesperson said, “We are very happy that the Indian Army has reposed trust in the fully indigenous Light Strike Vehicle developed by our research and development team. This is a small but significant step in creating fully indigenous specialist vehicles for the Armed Forces - a truly 'Make in India' initiative.”
