When all the international car manufacturers are sourcing their auto components from India and China, then why not Indian and Chinese cars? A recent research study reveals that Americans are now open to Indian and Chinese cars. A survey called 'Opportunity for Chinese and Indian Brands” reveals that at least 15 percent of new US car buyers will consider buying Chinese models and at least 11 percent will consider Indian cars before making a final purchase.

The survey was conducted by AutoPacific and nearly 30,000 users participated in the same. "As Hyundai and Kia have been on the American scene for decades now, it's surprising that consideration for Chinese and Indian brands would be about as strong as it is for the Korean brands," automotive research firm AutoPacific President and author of the study George Peterson said.

The study also revealed that buyers of these cars would consider Japanese or Korean cars in comparison to Indian or Chinese models. Thus, car manufacturers from Japan and Korea may face tougher competition in the US market rather than the domestic car manufacturers like GM, Ford or Chrysler.
