The Ferrari 488 GTB is the first modern Ferrari to employ forced induction for its powertrain. The 488 is powered by a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine that develops a mammoth 660bhp of power at 8000rpm and 760Nm of torque from 3000rpm. Paired to a dual clutch 7-speed automatic gearbox that powers the rear wheels, the new Ferrari engine catapults the 488 GTB past the 100kmph mark in 3 seconds from standstill. The Ferrari manages to hit 200kmph in 8.3 seconds on its way to a top speed in excess of 330kmph.

The 488 GTB makes it to India after a year of its global launch inFebruary 2015. Built in Maranello, Italy, the 488 GTB is imported as a CBU. The 488 GTB has been built ground up with the latest technologies. The Brembo brakes have been derived from the La Ferrari while the Electronic Stability Program includes variable torque management, side-slip control and a faster ECU to allow better dynamic control. The Ferrari 488 GTB is in the league of the Lamborghini Huracan and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage in India and will also be available in its drop-top avatar as the 488 GTB Spyder.
