The Beetle hatchback from the German automaker Volkswagen has been a global charmer. The car that started as a common man's choice, soon became a style icon globally. Just ahead of its official launch, sources have managed to lay their hands on the brochure for the upcoming model. The new model would be offered in four colours - Tornado Red, Habanero Orange, Blue Silk and Oryx White.
The new Volkswagen Beetle gets a 1.4-litre TSi engine mated to a 7-speed DSG dual clutch transmission that generates a powerful 148bhp. As for safety, it comes with features like ESC, 6 airbags, 4 disc brakes, hill hold control and central locking. In terms of design, it comes with bi-xenon headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch Whirl alloy wheels, static cornering lights on front fog lamps, and electronically folding mirrors. Additionally, the vehicle also gets panoramic sunroof, dual muffler and rear spoiler.
The pricing aspect is not known for now but it is believed to be offered at a higher price tag than the current one as it would sold in India via the CBU route. Inside, the new Bettle shall get leather covered seats and steering wheels, parking sensors, heated front seats, keyless entry and start/stop button, auto headlamp and wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, and dual zone climate control. As for entertainment it gets Composition Media" with 8 speakers with USB, AUX-in and Bluetooth connectivity as standard.
