Renderings of the Honda’s WR-V crossover have surfaced, indicating its possible launch down the line. Based on the Jazz hatchback, the upcoming crossover is currently in its development phase and is codenamed ‘Honda 2FM’. The production ready model will be showcased at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show that is due to be held in November this year.

      Honda WR V Front

Detailed information on the engine specs is not known, but it is believed that the upcoming Honda WR-V will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine option that will generate around 114bhp power. The India bound model will also be offered in a diesel variant. The Honda WR-V engines will come mated to a five -speed manual and an optional automatic transmission for the petrol variant only.

      Honda WR V Rear

As the Honda WR-V is stated to be based on the Jazz, the car does a share a lot of resemblance except for a bigger stance. The front will get more chrome for premium feel and the sharper headlamps blends neatly with the tweaked grille. The side profile does not get major upgrades except for the bigger 17-inch wheels and body cladding that runs from the front wheel arches to the rear wheel arches. The rear section is likely to get a chrome garnish below the rear glass. To complete the sporty look, the front and rear bumpers get body cladding.

The Honda WR-V crossover will be positioned between the Jazz and the soon to be launched BR-V in India. Though official pricing is not out yet, we can expect it be priced between Rs 11 - 14 lakh. More details on the vehicle will be known in the coming months.
