The all new Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) of Chevrolet that was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012, will be named as ‘Chevrolet Enjoy’. The seven seater Chevrolet MPV model was showcased at the expo with ‘MPV’ nameplate. The MUV had received an overwhelming response from the car enthusiasts and visitors at the GM India pavilion.
The Chevrolet Enjoy MPV model will be launched in the Indian market in the mid of year 2012. The MPV will be initially launched with a 1.4 liter petrol engine that is capable of generating a peak power of 94.6 bhp. The petrol version of the car will be followed by a 1.3-litre SDE diesel, to which GM will be sourcing from Italian auto giant Fiat. The Chevrolet Enjoy diesel version is expected to be launched in the country by the first quarter of next year.
As far as competition is concerned, the Chevrolet Enjoy model will be taking on with the likes of Toyota Innova, Maruti Ertiga, Mahindra Xylo and Tata Aria. However, the MUV is expected to be carrying a much lower starting price tag of Rs 6 lakh, as compared to above mentioned competitors
