      Hyundai Xcent - Value for money sedan in India

      The Hyundai brand has always been surprising the Indian market with an interesting fleet of cars in for the Indian market. The car-maker has gained a strong footing on local soil and caters right from the budget segment to the upmarket segment in the country. The Xcent has been a hot subject of discussion within the automotive circuit ever since news of its speculated launch was spilled out. First glimpse of the sedan was seen at the February held Auto Expo event in the country. The car rechristened as Xcent is said to be based on the i10 hatchback platform.

      The Hyundai Xcent sedan is available in Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol version is powered by 1.2 Litre kappa dual VTVT engine, whereas the diesel version shall be powered by 1.1litre U2 technology engine. The Hyundai Xcent is placed in straight line of competition with the likes of Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze. The petrol variant of the sedan is available with an automatic transmission apart from a regular manual transmission version, whereas diesel variant is only available in manual transmission version. The sedan has been quite popular ever since it was introduced about 2 months ago in the country. Since its launch, Hyundai has already sold about 7000 units in the country.

      Hyundai has also given much importance to safety of the occupants. The production version is expected to be loaded with Anti-lock braking system, rear defogger, dual airbags, central locking, rear parking assist and central locking. The newly launched Hyundai Xcent sedan has been launched in the Indian market with an attractive price tag of 4.66 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The diesel version is offered at a starting price of Rs 5.56 Lakh.
