The popular Xcent sedan from Hyundai had been recently launched in the country except in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Hyundai has now announced its entry with the roll outs from three distributors based in Srinagar. Speaking more on the occasion Tufail Khan, Co- Director, Arise Hyundai said., “Xcent is a world class product developed for the Indian families. Developed with the best of Hyundai Motor’s world class technologies, Xcent will create a new benchmark in terms of quality, design, space, features and driving pleasure in the compact sedan segment.”
The Xcent sedan was launched in Kashmir by Haseeb ur Rehman, SP Traffic in presence of senior executives of Hyundai Motor India Limited, Directors of Arise Hyundai, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, JK Bank officials and Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Limited. The car features smooth flowing design that shares some similarity from its siblings in the hatchback production line. Sources close to the development process have revealed that the auto maker is expected to incorporate a number of features in this sedan, such as revised front and rear bumpers,provision of LED lights and touchscreen entertainment unit with Bluetooth connectivity. As seen at the Auto Expo event the new sedan shall sport a dual tone black and beige interior, push button start has been smartly positioned, electro chromic mirror acts as a rear display for rear camera.
The Hyundai Xcent sedan shall be available in Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol version shall be powered by 1.2 Litre kappa dual VTVT engine, whereas the diesel version shall be powered by 1.1litre U2 technology engine. The Hyundai Xcent is placed in straight line of competition with the likes of Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze. Moreover, the Korean carmaker has also given much importance to safety of the occupants. The production version is expected to be loaded with Antilock braking system, rear defogger, dual airbags, central locking, rear parking assist and central locking.
