Hyundai is taking pre-orders in Korea for its upcoming face lifted model Hyundai Sonata or Hyundai i40 (as called in European markets). The new Sonata is coming with a fluid design and few pictures of the same were leaked earlier. Now some more pictures are available which show more details about interiors and exteriors.
Hyundai i40 or the new Sonata promises to be one of the best looking sedans in its segment. It comes with a wide radiator grille and sharp edged headlamps conveying its strength while its side design has a coupe like style that reminds of Mercedes CLS in a small way.
Detailed technical specifications of the car with new “fluidic sculpture” are not available as yet. However, according to company sources, the new model will come with 6-speed automatic transmission, 2.0L Theta engine, panoramic glass sunroof, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a push-button starting system and Vehicle Dynamic Control that detects and minimizes skids.
The new model will be officially launched on the 10th September and it will carry the message of a sedan boasting to be the “best looking coupe”. The new Sonata will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall brand and the latest technologies will help Sonata continue its long strong of success over the years.
