Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday reported 10.3% increase in total sales at 61,792 units in October. The company had sold 56,019 units in the same month last year, HMIL said in a statement. In the domestic market, Hyundai sold 47,015 units last month as compared with 38,010 units in October 2014, up 23.7%.
The company's exports were, however, down 17.9% to 14,777 units as against 18,009 units in the same month last year. Speaking more on the occasion Rakesh Srivastava, HMIL Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) said, "Hyundai sales of 47,015 units are all-time highest with an all-time high sales of Grand i10 with 14,079 units and continued strong performance of modern premium brands Creta and Elite i20/Active." The company expects the growth momentum to continue in the coming months with improving customer sentiments, he added.
