The Hyundai ix25 has been placed in straight line of competition against popular cars like Ford Ecosport, Renault Duster and upcoming Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha. For the Chinese market, the Hyundai ix25 is powered by four-cylinder 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol engines and is available in manual as well as automatic variant. However, in India the vehicle may likely share engine configurations with the new i20 Elite or existing Grand i10 hatchback. Most likely, an automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive option may also be used in the Indian variant.

Hyundai has not yet stated an official launch date for the vehicle nor have they revealed any detailed specification on the upcoming vehicle, but as the vehicle has been spotted undergoing road tests here, it is quite possible that Hyundai may bring-in the new ix25 sometime soon. The designing cues for ix25 is stated to be based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. The tweaked design philosophy is seen in all the new cars from Hyundai, whereas the existing range will also be bestowed with this innovative and stylish design.
