      Hyundai Elantra facelift

The upcoming Hyundai Elantra facelift has been spotted testing in India on numerous occasions. The company will now launch the facelifted version of the model by the end of the month.

Exterior design updates on the Hyundai Elantra facelift include LED headlamps, LED tail lights, boomerang-shaped fog lamps, cascading design grille, new alloy wheels and refreshed front and rear bumpers.

Inside, the new Hyundai Elantra facelift will come equipped with wireless charging and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration. Safety features on the model will include autonomous braking, blind-spot monitoring, active lane control and lane departure warning.

Engine options on the current generation Elantra include a 2.0-litre petrol unit and a 1.6-litre diesel unit. While the former is expected to be updated for BS-VI norms, the latter could be discontinued and hence, only the petrol mill may be offered upon launch. Hyundai is likely to replace the 1.6-litre diesel motor with the 1.5-litre diesel motor from the Kia Seltos. This engine would later make be introduced in the Creta as well as the Verna.
