Hyundai's popular hatchback in India, well known as Grand i10, has just been launched in Germany in a sporty version rechristened as i10 Sport. The hatchback has been exclusively custom made for the German market at an attractive price tag of about EUR 13,990 (Rs 11.4 lakh). The engine configuration has been retained, whereas the suspension has been lowered by 20mm.
The i10 Sport is powered by 1.2 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates about 87 Ps of power with 120 Nm of torque. The hatchback is capable of attaining top speed of about 109 Mph (175 Kmph), whereas it is capable of accelerating to 62 mph (100 km/hr) in just about 12.3 seconds. The cabin area has received an interesting sporty theme with red and black shaded dashboard. The seat fabric and door inserts have also received the black and red color combination.
The exterior of i10 Sport has received LED daytime running lamps. The black and red graphics flowing through the car renders it a sportier stance. The exterior also gets a new side skirt design and tweaked front and rear bumpers.
