The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios was launched in India last week with prices starting at Rrs 4.99 lakhs 9ex-showroom). The model will soon be offered with a CNG powertrain. Currently, the Grand i10 Nios is offered with two engine options including a 1.2-litre VTVT petrol engine and a 1.2-litre CRDi diesel engine.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG trim will be offered with the BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre Kappa VTVT petrol engine. This motor is tuned to produce 82bhp and 114Nm of torque. Transmission options on the model will be limited to a five-speed manual unit.
Currently, the standard version of the Hyundai Grand i10 is offered with three powertrain options that include the 1.2-litre petrol engine, 1.2-litre bi-fuel (petrol and CNG) engine and the 1.2-litre diesel engine. The Grand i10 CNG variant is offered only in the Magna trim and we expect the same to be carried over in the Grand i10 Nios model line-up. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG is likely to be launched in India soon.
