Hyundai gets over 7,000 bookings for the new Verna

Within 10 days of its launch, the new Hyundai Verna has received over 7,000 bookings and has received over 70,000 enquiries for the vehicle in the country. The car has outsold the company’s expected sales of around 4000 to 5000 Verna units a month. As promised at the time of the launch, Hyundai will be delivering the first 10,000 units to its customers before Diwali.

The new Hyundai Verna is available in E, EX, SX and SX(O) variants. The vehicle is available in a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel engine option. Built on a new K2 platform, the car manufacturer claims that the new Vena gets a superior body structure that is built with 50 per cent Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) that grants it superior safety. The vehicle competes against the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Skoda Rapid in India.

Going forward, the new Hyundai Verna is expected to witness further growth in sales around the festive season as it is strategically priced in comparison to the Honda City and the Skoda Rapid in India. Moreover, the brand has been present in India for quite some time now and has established that level of confidence and trust with the customers.
