      Hyundai Elite i20 garners 56,000 bookings in just 4 months

      Hyundai Motor India Limited, India’s second largest carmaker, launched the new generation i20 on August 11, 2014 in India. The vehicle received an overwhelming response from car buyers, and the company has received a huge 56,000 pre-orders for the Elite i20 within 4 months of its launch. It was also the company’s top-selling product in November 2014.

      The Elite i20 has managed to enter into the top 10 most selling cars in India within the second month of its launch. Last month, the company managed to sell 10,500 units of the hatchback making it the top selling hatchback in the B+ segment. Based on the evolved Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, the Elite i20 looks more appealing than the previous generation model.

      Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing - HMIL expressed, “We are overwhelmed by 56,000 customer bookings on strong appreciation and acceptance of the new Elite i20 making it a huge success. The demand of Elite i20 has doubled and in November we sold 10,500 units. We are working towards increasing its production for faster deliveries to offer a delightful experience to customers. The Elite i20 has seen heightened response across the country for petrol and diesel variants creating new Elite customers for future. Hyundai reaffirms its commitment to the customer and will continue to bring world-class products.”

      Hyundai Elite i20 is offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The oil burner is the 1.4-litre U2 CRDi unit that is claimed to return an impressive mileage of 22.54kmpl, while the gasoline model gets the 1.2-litre Dual VVT Kappa engine that returns 18.60kmpl of fuel economy.
