Given the Sport tag, Hyundai has reduced the ride height of this popular model by around 5mm. As for the looks, the brand has redesigned the headlights and the grille, besides adding a Turbo badge. The Sport version also gets 18-inch wheels, different side skirts and revised LED taillights and rear bumper.

The Sport version is all about the upgraded power courtesy of the 1.6-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder engine which develops 204bhp of power and a healthy 265Nm of torque. Hyundai is offering a choice of 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox for the Avante Sport. Lastly, the brand is also offering different springs and shocks and upgraded stabilizer bars as optional extras.

Following its launch in South Korea, the Elantra Sport is headed for the US where it will debut at the SEMA show in November.
