Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced a 12.9 per cent increase in domestic sales. The manufacturer sold 41,201 units last month in comparison to the 36,503 units sold in July 2015.

Like the sales in the domestic market show an upward trend, Hyundai’s total sales also increased by 10.7 per cent. The carmaker sold 55,807 units in July as compared to 50,411 vehicles in the same month last year. This growth in sales sustained as Hyundai's exports also climbed by five per cent with 14,606 units sold overseas as against 13,908 units in the corresponding period last year.

Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, HMIL, said, "Hyundai continues to sustain strong growth trajectory, volume of 41,201 units with growth of 12.9 per cent on the strength of strong pull performance of Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta in a market showing improved customer sentiments led by good monsoons, low inflation, reduced interest rates and dropping fuel prices."

Hyundai's domestic sales show a double-digit growth owing to their strong product line-up. The latest Creta SUV has tasted a fair bit of success ever since it was launched in July last year and continues to pull up sales numbers for HMIL. The Korean manufacturer will soon launch the new Elantra that will replace the current sedan sold in the Indian market. We can expect it to be launched by the end of this month.
