Talk about SUV’s in India and the Creta immediately gets a mention. The SUV launched around 5 months ago, shall likely witness bookings for 1,00,000 units by next week, before this year comes to an end. It is believed that of the total 75,000 orders, the company has already delivered around 35,000 units to customers.
Speaking more on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Hyundai India, was quoted as saying, "We hope to touch order book of 100,000 units by this month end. After generating a tremendous response in the domestic market with more than 75,000 bookings, Creta has been globally launched with an overwhelming response. We have already shipped 12,270 units so far to export destinations.” In India alone, the company sold around 5,837 Creta SUV units in November, while its competitors namely Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross sold around 1,675, 611 units and 2,222 units respectively.
Hyundai Creta is available in 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox options with a choice of three engine options 1.6 Gamma Dual VTVT, 1.6 U2 CRDi VGT, and 1.4 U2 CRDi. Apart from India, Hyundai exports Creta to 77 countries like Saudi Arabia, Peru, Panama, Colombia, UAE, Nigeria and more.
