Hyundai is about to increase the production of one of its top selling models here in India. The model in question is the Creta which has enjoyed strong demand ever since its arrival in the Indian market. Accordingly, Hyundai India has decided to increase the production by 20 per cent to around 12,000 units per month.
Introduced in July last year, the Creta car competes in the highly competitive crossover segment and is doing rather well. Hyundai, in fact, received over 1 lakh bookings for it by the middle of March 2016, thanks to its long list of merits including well-built interiors and powerful yet efficient engine options.
Now although the Creta is positioned in a way that it competes with several similarly priced vehicles, its real rival comes in the form of the refreshed Renault Duster which gets a 6-speed AMT as well as an all-wheel drive version.
