Hyundai considering inaugurating premium dealerships in India

Hyundai had revealed its plans to launch eight new products by 2020, of which five will be for the premium segment - Elantra, Kona, Santa Fe and two electric vehicles. Reports have emerged that claim the company is planning on setting up premium outlets in the country. The report further claims that the outlets will be based on the Maruti Suzuki’s premium NEXA outlet concept.

The Hyundai’s premium outlet will offer vehicles above the Kona and it is believed that Hyundai has recruited a team of Area Managers who will currently manage vehicle range from the Creta and above. The report further adds that the dealers are being trained to attend premium customers. More details for the same will be known in the days to come.

Hyundai’s partner group Kia Motors has also been planning on marking its debut in India. However, the companies have maintained that they will have separate product strategies for the Indian market.
