S&T Motors, a South Korea based super bike manufacturer which operates in India in partnership with Pune based DS Kulkarni Group, has launched an all new Hyosung GT 250 R model in the Indian market at Rs 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is looking forward to match their India sales to their overall global sales of 50,000 units in the coming 3 to 5 years.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch of new Hyosung GT 250 R in the National Capital on Monday, S&T Motors’ global marketing team, Justin Lee, said, "The potential to grow in India is very big. We are currently working on a product portfolio for the future. With strong commitment shown by our partner DSK Group, we see India turning out to be a huge base with potential volumes of 2,00,000 to 3,00,000 units annually."
This is the third time when S&T Motors is entering into a partnership with an Indian firm, as it had earlier associated with Kinetic Motors and Garware Group, respectively. However, the company is not looking forward to enter into an equity partnership in India, and looks forward to operate in India with their licensing agreement with DSK Group.
