Lamborghini India has announced the launch of the new Huracan Spyder. Lamborghini will also inaugurate a new showroom in Mumbai on 5thMay, 2016 along with the launch of their new model.
The Spyder is basically the Huracan LP 610-4 coupe underneath with an identical powertrain and gearbox combination. This means the 6.2L V10 motor produces 602bhp and 560Nm of torque and comes mated to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox with an all-wheel drive. This combination helps the Spyder reach 100kph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds, just 0.2 seconds off the coupe’s time.
Lamborghini has equipped the Huracan Spyder with a hydraulically controlled soft-top roof which can be lowered or raised in 17 seconds. The roof can also be operated when the car is in motion and is doing speeds of up to 50kph. To improve the Lamborghini’s aerodynamics and to aid its airflow to the engine, the Spyder comes fitted with two additional fins which rise from the rear of the seats when the roof is folded down.
The launch of the Huracan Spyder will take place in the new Lamborghini Mumbai showroom and the expected price of this supercar is Rs 3.43 crore (ex-showroom).
