Upcoming Honda WR-V hatchback-crossover will soon expand its market share in the country. It is likely that the new Honda WR-V might be based on the Jazz hatchback and might also share engine specifications with the popular hatchback. The fresh images have been leaked from Honda’s facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan. The new vehicle is expected to be officially launched sometime by March 2017.

      WR-V front

Back at 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show which was held in November, Honda globally unveiled the WR-V. Under the hood, the vehicle will carry the existing engine option from Jazz hatchback. The upcoming vehicle will be powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol that generates 89bhp of power and comes mated to a five-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The 1.5-litre Earth Dreams i-DTEC diesel comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission that generates 99bhp of power.

The interior will be fairly similar to what we have seen in the Jazz hatchback. The company is expected opt for it considering the price factor. The new model might get a similar instrument cluster with two ambient lights on each sides of the speedometre that is not just visually appealing but also gives out important details. It is to be seen if the new model will get the ‘Magic Seats’ and one passenger reclining seat which is offered in  top-end VX Grade  and Diesel V Grade.

      WR-V rear

As seen in images, the upcoming Honda WR-V will get wide front fascia with thick black chrome slat and protruding grille. As for sides, it gets prominent black plastic cladding, silver skid plates on the front and back and new taillamp with chrome bar. More details about the vehicle will be known in the coming days.
