Honda has officially unveiled the Accord facelift which gets a host of exterior as well as interior changes. While its set to go on sale in Thailand, what comes as good news for us lot is that the Indian market will also be getting the latest-gen Accord in this facelifted avatar.
On the outside, the Accord facelift wears a new grille, revised LED headlights with daytime running lights and LED taillights. Not many design changes are to be reported overall as this is a mild update and not a comprehensive makeover. Inside, Honda has added new wood and piano black trim to freshen up the cabin design. As for the equipment, the new highlighting feature is the 7.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity.
Underneath the revised exterior, the mechanicals continue to remain the same which means the Accord facelift gets the familiar 2-litre and 2.4-litre petrol engine options with 150bhp and 172bhp respectively. For the Indian market, Honda is expected to bring in the hybrid model also which combines the 2-litre petrol engine with an electric motor for some green motoring.
As a reminder, Honda India showcased the new Accord hybrid at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2016. The car was on display alongside the BR-V and some fancy vehicles including a race-prepped Jazz.
