      Honda starts teasing the City facelift ahead of launch

      The 2017 Honda City has been teased before the carmaker launches it on February 14 for the Indian market. The cosmetic changes and new features are revealed in the video posted by the carmaker.

      The facelifted City sedan gets exterior updates in the form of new headlights, redesigned bumpers, bigger alloy wheels with a new design pattern, a new spoiler and LED tail lamps. The top-of-the-line trim will be named the ZX version, which will boast of LED headlamps and fog lamps. It is expected to get larger 16-inch alloy wheels as well.

      The upcoming City's interior also gets new features. This includes a new touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with Android Auto and a smartphone mirroring platform. Sun-roof, engine start-stop push button, cruise control and automatic air-conditioning etc. will continue to be offered as luxury features on the sedan.

      There will be no changes in the engine options, meaning a 1.5-litre petrol mill and the 1.5-litre diesel engine will be carried over. Similarly the six-speed manual and CVT transmission will continue to be offered.

      Honda has opened the pre-launch bookings for Rs 21,000. Prospective buyers can book the car now at any Honda dealership across the country. However, we will all have to wait for the prices of the updated sedan, which will be revealed later this month.
